Abstract :
A new approach for the design and construction of axial flux induction motors is presented. The design and construction procedure proposed was tested in the construction of a 25 HP and 240 RPM axial flux induction motor with an anisotropic rotor. Finally, a comparison between the rated characteristics of the axial flux motor with a traditional one is presented
