Abstract :
Based on the wideband circular monopole, utilizing L bend monopole to reduce the height and the meander form to increase the electrical length, with a proper dimension tuning stub added at the feed point, a 1/10tth wavelength (of 3 Ghz) height (10 mm) ultra wideband antenna was successfully designed and simulated. It demonstrated that this low profile antenna has -10 dB return loss bandwidth of 8.6 GHz to cover entire UWB radio bandwidth from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz.
