Abstract
In order to design the decentralized multivariables controller (DMC) by using modern control theory to improve dynamic performance of interconnected power systems a new valid dynamic equivalent model is developed based on the interaction analysis technique. The proposed dynamic equivalent algorithm is not only faster in computation than the existing equivalent methods but also is reliable for the design of DMC or PSS
