  • Abstract
This paper presents a method to examine the air-to-air message-overlap statistics for a high-density traffic environment. An aviation system is selected to demonstrate this method. The preliminary results show that the overlap statistics can be modeled using a statistical Poisson process. Three scenarios (best-case, most-likely case, and worst-case), and the likelihood of cumulative message-overlap statistics are analyzed.
