Abstract :
The authors report on a novel application of optimal output feedback control theory to the design of power system stabilisers (PSSs) for large-scale electrical power systems. An interconnected power system comprising three generating units is considered for this application. Simulation results, in terms of step responses, are given to illustrate the improvement in the power system performance
