            Abstract : 
This paper proposes a synthesis method of a circuit with an arbitrary characteristic. Any linear circuit is described with its impedance or admittance characteristic. Its equivalent circuit can be synthesized to satisfy this characteristic condition. For example, in the admittance type, a circuit whose current satisfies the admittance characteristic condition for a given voltage waveform, is synthesized with a voltage-source inverter with a series inductor. The current reference signal is computed for a given voltage waveform with an analog or a digital control unit and the circuit current is controlled to follow the reference by the inverter system. The proposed method is investigated for a negative inductor and LCR circuits and it is validated for its performances.
