Abstract :
A vehicle system is rapidly becoming more complex and mixed because of electronization of components, etc. It is necessary to have development environment which utilizes simulators to evaluate a target system commonly by OEM and supplier companies. VHDL-AMS is suitable for a standard language for development of automotive models because it is an international standard and it can describe models in multi-physical domains. Evaluation models of fuel consumption rates are proposed for a diesel gasoline truck and a gasoline car, utilizing the FAT-AK30 models and the MLIT simulation program. The models can consider electrical loads like head lamps and blower fans. They are flexible for various vehicle types and conditions with additions and replacement of component models. They are suitable model exchanges among OEM and supplier companies.
