Abstract :
The analysis of conventional deterministic optimal load flow methods were often based on a single operation state. They are not comprehensive enough since they did not consider the effects of load variations and the changes of operation modes. The authors present a new method which applies the stochastic load flow method to the optimal load flow, taking the optimal reactive power compensation of an electric power system for example, and creates the probabilistic optimal algorithm. A Newtonian approach has been used as the optimization approach, and a multiplier approach was applied to inequality constraints handling. Its convergency is satisfied
