Abstract :
The discrete chirp-Fourier transform (DCFT) proposed in Xia, can be used to detect both the linear frequencies and the frequency varying rate (chirp rate) at the same time. In this paper, we present a modified DCFT (MDCFT) scheme; some properties similar to DCFT in Xia are also studied. Compared to the DCFT in Xia, theoretical and simulation results have shown that the MDCFT can further improve the resolution of chirp rate of the detected signals. The study is of particular use in radar signal processing
