Abstract
With falling prices of solar cells, usage of solar electric energy is on the rise for various applications including remote area power supply. Manufacturers of solar electric equipment often test their equipment in factory on ordinary DC power supply. If given a chance, they would surely like to test it on solar panel to certify their product such as maximum power tracker. A simple visual C++ program can give an excellent graphic user interface (GUI) and control normal DC power supply output using PC printer port to exactly simulate solar panel characteristics.
