Abstract
The authors give an overview of the various types of magnetic field fiber-optic sensors. The authors describe the design, implementation and characterization of a fiber-optic sensor for measuring magnetic field and current by using the principle of Faraday rotation in a crystal. The applications of this sensor in the electric power industry are discussed
