Abstract :
This paper presents a TCP-friendly congestion control mechanism based on fractal-wavelet multiple time scale for improving media traffic performance in particular, consistent Qos transport - by maintaining traffic rate as friendly as possible. Our scheme implement fractal-wavelet method to detect network traffic long-range dependence (LRD) at larger time scales to enhance media traffic performance for the purpose above. Simulation illustrate that the scheme can enhance the tracking capacity of the network traffic and decrease 10%-20% traffic loss rate compared with TFRC. It achieves better performance in terms of intra-protocol & inter-protocol fairness for media consistent QoS transport
