A new half-loop antenna for UWB spectrum

Abstract :
A novel and simple structure for a CPW-fed half-loop antenna is presented. The proposed antenna covers the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) bandwidth (3.1~10.6 GHz) to even higher band (~20 GHz) for VSWR<2. Tapered slot structure and half-loop antenna exhibits highband and lowband, respectively. The measured results are in fairly good agreements with those simulation ones. Index Terms slot antenna.
