Abstract :
In this paper, the computer aided teaching of power converter via matlab/simulink mainly concentrated on power factor correction (PFC) topic to satisfy IEC 1000-3-2. Quality improvement of input current to reduce current harmonics is demonstrated. Matlab/simulink satisfied to nonlinear state space models, is used to increase system performances implementing and developing the controller included in toolbox i.e. sliding mode control, fuzzy logic control etc. The teaching module of power converter are classified to 3 topics 1) switching mode rectifier using single switch, 2) single phase AC-DC converter and 3) three phases AC-DC converter. However, with the matlab/simulink application, not only simulation time can be reduced but also convergence problem can be solved.
