Abstract :
This paper has presented a planar broadband CP antenna incorporating a printed dipole and a microstrip-fed slot. The design approach, measured and simulated results of the proposed antenna have been provided. A 28% of 10dB return loss bandwidth and 34% of 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth is achieved from the designed prototype. The proposed antenna covers the frequency range from 1.3 GHz to 1.72 GHz. It has been demonstrated that planar broadband CP antenna can be easily obtained by combining printed dipole and microstrip-fed slot while maintaining its simple structure.
