Abstract :
This paper presents radar imaging simulations for sensing through the wall (STTW) applications. One area of investigation is the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image of a human body as compared to that of common furniture objects. Another topic analyzes the advantages of using a cross-polarization radar configuration in detecting humans inside rooms and buildings. The electromagnetic scattering models were performed using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) technique.
