Abstract :
By an extension of a technique previously developed for two-dimensional configurations, a numerical approximation for the three-dimensional Laplacian Operator at a point is derived in a form which is suitable for corporation at nodes generated in an automatic decomposition of an arbitrary three dimensional region. The expression obtained is shown to generalise the well known Cartesian form.
