Abstract :
This paper focuses on strategies for presenting an image to a multi-layer perceptron trained with algorithms such as the back propagation learning scheme. The main contribution of this paper is to show that feeding an image to a multi-layer neural net must be chosen carefully because it may have a significant impact on back propagation convergence, or even neural net recognition performance (error rate).
