Abstract :
In this paper, method to develop antennas for "RF geotomography" (RFG) systems is proposed. RFG offers a promising new approach to acquire 3D images of below ground objects, to detect the presence of tunnels or cavities, and to explore for sinkholes and natural resources. This paper addresses the problem of designing a suitable HF receiver for a RFG system. Design procedure for HF antennas is also provided. Also, this paper concludes ferrite core loop antennas are the best choice for receiver systems.
