Via a wavelet domain thresholding operation to observation, noise can be restrained, so the signal can be well reconstructed. A new threshold called the mean threshold is presented and on the basis of it, signal reconstruction with wavelet packet de-noising is studied. It has been proved that the mean threshold wavelet packet de-noising is an effective method
