Abstract

In order to create a platform for customer oriented Web-based virtual design, an interactive and collaborative discussing environment for both customers and enterprise designers is necessary. In the system, VRML model of the products is employed as the intermedium of the communication. An approach to reconstruct VRML model is presented. The manner makes VRML model be operable interactively and displayed online synchronously. The method of pretreatment of VRML model and the relevant key technologies are proposed and realized
