Abstract :
A view of the personal communications service (PCS) is presented, and a communications network architecture for supporting this view is given. The proposed network architecture includes advanced portable radio communications technology and the interworking of multiple wired and wireless networks using the intelligent network approach. To the end users, these networks behave as a single seamless network. The authors focus on the service control aspect of PCS and hence devote most of the discussion to intelligent network issues
