Abstract
The information revolution is currently undergoing a critical juncture. The paradigm of service provision and utilization on the Internet is under increasing pressure to incorporate changes to cope with the ever rising heterogeneous demands of users who look for any time every where information service availability. We investigate the information distribution mechanism of a demand-oriented information system employed in a supply chain management system by simulating the behavior of such a system under the regulation of a number of information distribution algorithms. We conclude that the information service pattern of a demand-oriented supply chain information system can be fine tuned by the application of information distribution algorithms
