  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel human ears inspired DOA technique by placing a lossy scatter between two antennas, which introduces a large magnitude difference between the two received signals. The proposed technique can eliminate the ambiguity at high frequency caused by d Lt lambda/2 and achieve a better sensitivity. The effectiveness of this technique is demonstrated through several numerical examples. Future work will be concentrated on experimental demonstrations of high performance DOA systems using only two antennas.
