Abstract :
NHK has developed a new automatic broadcasting control system (ABCS) by using a local area network (LAN) composed of 14 personal computers. The ABCS implements the following processes: reception of broadcasting information; checking of transmission devices and broadcast materials; pre-starting the transmitting devices; switching the broadcast resources by use of the on-air matrix; and distributing the audio-visual networks
