Simulation of a texture synthesizer for HDTV production

The simulation was carried out to study the possibility of designing a texture generator which could be integrated in HDTV mixers. The first tests were concerned with the modelling of atmospheric effects. The algorithms obtained and their respective computation times have encouraged the authors to continue with the study of a real time architecture. This type of mixing tools represents a real innovation for HDTV production
