Abstract
Science and technology will improve the quality of life of future generations. A knowledge-driven economy goes along with high-tech companies. University of Miskolc has information about industry products, marketing and development trends, feedback on graduates´ competences, the quality of teaching, improves curriculum, teaching materials and methods, implements its research mission successfully by joint projects, provides graduates for the knowledge-driven economy, reduces the height of the wall between academia and industry. Industry employs graduates meeting up-to-date requirements, raises science and technology application in new products. It employs new PhD-degree holders, generates and mainly transfers, applies and disseminates new knowledge.
