Abstract
Computers are being integrated with private telecommunications systems in an increasing number of ways. Using the concept of servers connected to different interfaces of PBX systems provides a wide range of added-value features and options. Computer supported telephony applications (CSTA) and wideband servers are highlighted as two areas which will impact substantially on future networks to provide new applications and services
