Abstract
Both Weibull and Rayleigh distributions have a great performance for the testbed realized when a person walks through an indoor environment. The results presented previously can confirm a better behavior for the 802.11g standard with respect to the analysis of the jitter effect. For the other hand, the packet loss for this standard is greater than the 802.11b one with respect to the video streaming. Although the package loss can be tolerated if a constant jitter is achieved, we should expect a better behavior of the 802.11b for the maximum envelop that requires a stronger signal, which really does not occurs. In the whole set of measurements it is possible to conclude that the 802.11g standard has a better performance when we transmit a video streaming through a wireless net. As a future work, we can perform the analysis of the video being transmitted together with a concurrent UDP traffic.
