Abstract :
We are interested in the interaction of photodynamic substances and high-energy-ultrasound to evaluate the effectivity of this new therapeutic approach to tumor treatment. The activation of the photosensitizer was assessed by using uric acid as a dosimeter. It was demonstrated that photodynamic substances can be activated with continuous-wave-ultrasound at frequencies of 450 kHz and 1184 MHz
