Abstract
The authors describe on going work which is concerned with the application of artificial neural networks in instrumentation systems such as the electronic nose. They describe a neural network simulator system which will facilitate the design of standalone neural networks based systems. Their work continues in areas such as the use of other neural net paradigms, automatic net design techniques and hardware nets
