Abstract :
This paper introduces a novel “train mechanism” for ATM broadband networks. The “train” provides a unifying mechanism, enabling ATM to carry and route user traffic with arbitrary granularity ranging from a single cell, to a datagram, to a permanent virtual circuit. The performance for various length trains is determined
