Abstract
Deals with the practical design of a range of intelligent products. Triton, a key customer, approached Turnright Controls in December 1990 with a view to launching new products at the Interbuild Exhibition, November 1991. Interbuild is held only every two years, and this dictated a ten month design timescale. This is a semi-technical topic dealing with the design of a particular product by a manufacturer, helped by an example of how a specific product (Spabath and instant heat shower ranges) was designed and tested, giving details of problems encountered from a manufacturer/designer´s perspective.<>
