Abstract
In this paper, we have derived the asymptotic representation for the scattered field when the cylindrical wave illuminates the concave portion of the cylindrically curved conducting open surface. Comparison with the reference solution calculated from the method of moment reveals the validity and the utility of the asymptotic representation proposed in the present paper.
