Abstract :
A computer simulation of a square coaxial waveguide radiation characteristic is carried out to determine the optimal characteristics for the feed element of a reflector antenna. Simulation and experimental results are compared. Advantages and disadvantages of this waveguide radiator as compared with the conventional waveguide feed are discussed.
