Abstract
The directivity diagram (DD) for the horn antenna is defined by the amplitude and phase distribution (APD) of the field sources in the horn radiated angular opening. In turn, the APD is defined by the excitation and boundary conditions for the field on the horn walls. Theoretical and experimental investigations confirm the physical arguments about the possibility of the constructive iterative synthesis of the horn antennas, corresponding to the definite DD under limitations regarding the DD form. The general solution of this task as the inverse task of the radiation theory is quite difficult and does not have any practical importance, as it can quickly lead to the unrealistic sources AFD. Therefore we consider its solution by means of the detailed quantitative analysis of the waves high influence on the DD.
