Abstract :
A description is given of a system for the distribution of copyright information on magnetic tape. The source, contents, and format of the machine-readable record are discussed. Design objectives were not only to install a system for copyright distribution, but also to develop a set of programs that can be used to implement other text-oriented distribution systems. The author comments on some lessons learned during the system design and development process
