  • Abstract
    Static or moving charged particles are successfully incorporated in a transmission line model for numerical electromagnetic field computations based on a two-dimensional series connected node. The approach is validated by applying it to a simple vacuum diode for which analytical results can be obtained. The time-domain nature of the transmission line approach makes the new computer program developed ideal for simulating pulsed power phenomena and devices
