Abstract :
An interconnected power system containing synchronous and induction machines has been simulated. The total fault current and the behavior of each machine have been calculated under three-phase to ground faults and single line to ground faults for a transient time of 500 ms. A comparison between the 3-phase to ground fault and single line to ground fault has been presented for each machine with respect to the total fault current, torque, rotor angle and speed
