Abstract
This paper constructs the randomly rough surface via the Fourier series of the surface height function and analyzes the statistical characteristics of the Fourier coefficients. By using a low-pass filter, the surface is split into two parts-Kirchhoff surface and perturbation surface. According to the scattering characteristics of the two kinds of surface, some assumptions and approximations are introduced to obtain the far-zone scattering field and the bistatic scattering coefficient.
