Abstract :
Probably the most significant general trend, and the one that will eventually have the greatest impact on simulation in power electronics, is the rate of increase in its use. The growth of the use of analogue simulation in general is running at around 50% per year. The author discusses the background to the SPICE program and then goes on to discuss mixed-mode simulation, state averaging techniques, device models, and HV, high current, layout and EMC
