Abstract :
To improve the spectral efficiency and to control inter-cell interference effectively, this paper proposes a joint routing and resource partitioning scheme for cellular network enhanced with two-hop fixed relay nodes. A new reuse partitioning based framework is adopted firstly to facilitate efficient radio resource partitioning, which enables aggressive frequency reuse. Then, a channel-dependent routing scheme is proposed, which aims to maximize cell capacity under the constraint imposed by the resource partitioning framework. Intensive computer simulation results demonstrate the performance superiority of our proposed scheme to several known routing and resource allocation schemes. Issues of FRN positioning and radiation power are also investigated.
