Abstract :
In this paper we have presented a design for a self-structuring patch antenna. This antenna has been shown through simulation to have tunable single-frequency operation with a VSWR of no more than 1.087 over a band from 2 GHz to 9 GHz, and multiple-frequency operation with up to four frequencies at once over the same band. The multiple-frequency mode can be used to enhance the bandwidth of the self-structuring patch antenna, with instantaneous bandwidths of up to .78 GHz (16%) obtained.
