  • Abstract
    This paper describes thermal analysis of a piezoelectric transformer. In order to investigate high power working condition of a piezoelectric transformer, thermal stress was simulated by finite element method. A simulated piezoelectric transformer was constructed with a driving part utilized piezoelectric transversal effect and a generating part utilized piezoelectric longitudinal effect. Analytic results showed compressive stress concentration in the middle area of both side in a generating part, and it increased as output power increased
