Abstract :
The time domain measured equations of invariance (MEI) absorbing boundary condition (ABC) is applied in the Thompson-FDTD algorithm. The conformal truncating boundary and conformal external absorption mesh technique are introduced. These techniques compress the FDTD computational region, and the memory requirement and running time are decreased remarkably compared to the uniform truncating boundary shape and traditional ABCs. The numerical results of two electromagnetic scattering problems validate the conclusion.
