Abstract :
This paper reports on the design, production and characterisation of a five-bit MMIC switched filter phase shifter for 2.2-2.3 GHz inter-orbital communications. The presented measurements demonstrate the consistence of chip to chip performance achievable from a well controlled foundry process. This is particularly important in phased array applications where a large number of chips are utilised in a single system
