Abstract :
Two-dimensional cross-section image of a dielectric target embedded in the dielectric substrate was reconstructed by confocal imaging method. The Gaussian monocycle pulse with the center frequency of 15 GHz was emitted from bow-tie antenna array which was fabricated on a Si chip, and reflected back to the antenna array. Effect of the number of antennas on the quality of images was investigated. It was found that only 4 antennas were sufficient to reconstruct the target image.
