The application of the digital European Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard to local area networks (LANs)

The DECT standard has been developed by ETSI STC RES 3 (European Telecommunications Standards Institute Sub-Technical Committee for Radio Equipment and Systems). The standard has passed through its public inquiry phase and is now stable. It has been developed with data communications as well as simple telephony in mind, although it allows considerable freedom in the choice of parameters for implementation.
