Abstract :
The voice transmission over the Internet Protocol or commonly named VoIP over a wireless local area network (WLAN) is becoming a necessity; nevertheless there is a very important problem here, it is the fact that the access points disposition is not ideal to establish a well communication at the WLAN design, since they were initially designed for data transport. This paper presents a procedure for designing WLAN´s with VoIP support, using two of the most important current standards for WLAN´s, 802.11b and 802.11g
