Abstract :
For realizing a low-sidelobe conformal phased antenna array using the techniques in D. Chatterjee and R.G. Plumb (1996), the array mutual coupling needs to be considered, with emphasis on location of the "blind spots". Therefore, the purpose of the results presented here is to furnish the reference solution for array scan element pattern including mutual coupling. The results would thus be relevant for the elements in the central region of a large, finite cylindrical dipole array. The array edge elements can be analyzed separately, using the uniform theory of diffraction, i.e., UTD Green\´s functions (P.H. Pathak, 1988). This is computationally efficient for large convex surfaces (L. Josefsson and P. Persson, 2006).
